Download the AFCAT 2 2021 recruitment notification: Indian Air Force (IAF) posted the announcement for the 2022 Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) for Commissioned Officer Recruitment in the employment journal from November 27 to December 03, 2021.

Applicants can apply online for courses starting in January 2023 for the award of the Short Service Commission (SSC) in the flight branch and the Standing Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in the ground service branches (technical and non-technical) of December 01 to December 30, 2021 on afcat.cdac.in.

AFCAT 2022 eligibility criteria

Education diploma and experience:

Flying branch:

  • At least 50% of grades each in mathematics and physics at level 10 + 2 and a degree with a minimum of three years of coursework in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% of grades or the equivalent. OR BE / B Tech diploma (four-year course) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% of grades or equivalent. OR Applicants who have passed the examination of sections A and B of Associate Membership status of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Indian Aeronautical Society of a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or the equivalent.

Ground service branch (technical):

  • Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}. – Applicants with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at level 10 + 2 and a minimum of four years of graduation / integrated diploma in Engineering / Technology from a recognized university OR have successfully completed the ” Sections A and B exam of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India associate members or Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers postgraduate membership exam by actual studies with a minimum of 60% of grades or equivalent in the following disciplines: – (aaa) Communication engineering.   • Education – Past 10 + 2 and post-diploma with 50% in any discipline, including integrated courses offering a PG (single diploma without exit authorization and lateral entry) and with 60% of marks in obtaining the degree in any discipline.
  • Logistics – Post-graduate degree (study course of at least three years) in any discipline from a recognized university with 60% marks or the equivalent or the examination of section A and B of the statute associate member of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Indian Aeronautical Society of a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Special entrance to the CCN (Flying Branch)

  • NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate obtained on or after December 1, 17. Minimum of 60% marks each in mathematics and physics at 10 + 2. Graduates with a minimum three-year coursework in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% grades or equivalent OR a BE / B Tech diploma (four-year course) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR Candidates who have passed the examination of sections A and B of Associate Members of the Institution of Engineers (India) or the Aviation Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% of marks or equivalent

How to apply for AFCAT 2022 recruitment?

Candidates can apply online from 01 December to 30 December 2021 by following the steps. The Aadhaar card is mandatory for online registration

  1. Click on “CANDIDATE LOGIN” on the home page – leads to AFCAT Sign-in
  2. On the next page, applicants should click on “NOT REGISTERED YET?” REGISTER HERE”.
  3. Registration: creation of a connection identifier and the requester will receive a password in their registered e-mail identifier.
  4. After successful registration, log in with the registered email ID and system generated password.
  5. Reset Password – Logout (candidates should remember their login ID and password for future use during the exam process).
  6. New connection.
  7. Registration selection: “AFCAT”; “NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR THE FLYING BRANCH”.
  8. Click on “INSTRUCTIONS”. Read the instructions carefully.
  9. Acknowledgment of having read and understood the instructions – Check the box to proceed to the next step.
  10. Click on “FILLING OUT THE REQUEST FORM”
  11. Click on “MAKE PAYMENT” – Online (applicable only for AFCAT)
  12. Click on “PAYMENT STATUS” to see if the payment was successful. If the registration number is displayed, it means that the payment has been made successfully.

Exam fees:

Rs. 250 / – (No charge for special entry and NCC meteorology) can be paid online via the “Make a payment” step in the main menu of the online application. No cash or check or demand draft (DD) will be accepted.
