Frank Edward Galonis Sr., 78, of Suscon, died at his home on September 27.

Frank was the son of the late Edward and Dorothy Laytos Galonis. Frank reached the rank of lieutenant while serving as an aircraft carrier pilot in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He graduated from the University of Scranton and then worked his entire life in sales, specializing in building materials for new and renovated homes.

Frank was a member of VFW Post 4909 in Dupont, Tauras Club, Scranton, and a member of the Scranton Pool League.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (McClellan), who has been by his side for 30 years; sons, Frank Jr. and Linda, Robert and Barbara, and Edward and Meagan; daughter, Deborah and Vanessa; 10 grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Mark and Marianne McClellan, Alan McClellan and Michael and Kelly McClellan.

Frank was predeceased by his son, James Christopher; and brother, Pierre.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Barbara’s Parish, Exeter. Everyone is asked to come directly to church on Saturday. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends can call the funeral home on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
