Qatar Aeronautical Academy graduates, class of 2021

Doha: Qatar Aeronautical Academy celebrated the graduation of a new class of its students in a virtual ceremony.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the Academy has continued to deliver its programs and training through distance education and digital learning, which major international educational institutions have been using since 2019. The Academy’s departments include the Pilot Training Program, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program, Meteorological Program, Air Traffic Control Program, and Advanced Aviation Management Program. The Qatar Aeronautical Academy has obtained the approval of local and international accredited bodies, including the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which adopted on March 11, 2020 the dual learning system within the department of aircraft maintenance engineering. With the continuing changes imposed by the pandemic on education and higher education, the Aviation Safety Agency has decided in the new legislation that educational institutions can update their membership and adopt their internal standing procedures. The European Aviation Safety Agency has adopted the dossier submitted by the Academy to receive this accreditation as a standard for accreditation of other institutions at a later date, which is a new achievement. Based on this and the new policy proposal submitted by the Academy, a synchronous virtual learning system has been adopted in the Department of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Virtual Classroom Education and Learning. synchronous distance (DSL), and a certificate was issued to the Academy on March 5. 2021.
